Getting back into another type of fog…

Here I was thinking I was coming out of the nursing fog. Only to discover I’m diving into another type of fog…

…let’s call it “I’m now a little bit angry at everyone and snap a little bit too easy if someone doesn’t for example hear my coffee order correctly”.

Why? Well… because although the nursing fog has disappeared my toddler is still not sleeping full nights. And lately that has meant me getting up every night to get her to sleep again.

Getting up every night means…

  • about 13 times per night …not kidding…13! I know this as I take print screens on my phone so I can see the time in the mornings (I like to keep stats as you know)

  • only to put the dummy back in…she gets quiet but I have to repeat the procedure like every 40 min.

  • she is in her own room so I’ve gotten really good at sleep walking.

  • If she would still be in our room it would be 20+ times every night…

  • and no…it didn’t work sprinkling more dummies in her bed in the hope of her finding one herself…

  • and yes, I have a husband that technically could help but we have a toddler each to take care of at the moment. Only his is called “his company”. And believe me it also wakes up 13 times per night 😂
